IDF Says Two Hamas Operatives Killed in Separate Gaza City and Sabra Strikes
Israel's military says two Hamas operatives were killed in separate strikes in Gaza City and the Sabra area, naming Shati Battalion commander Muhammad Muhsen Nimr Yazji and, in Sabra, Muhammad Fawzi Muhammad Awad. The IDF states Yazji was involved in holding hostages Emily Damari, Romi Gonen and Matan Angrest in the Gaza City area. The claim comes from the IDF's own posting on 8 October and a relay of it; there is no independent on-the-ground account.

- The stated role of the individual named in the Sabra strike is cut off in the available text of both posts.

- No information on other casualties, structures struck, or munitions used.
- The IDF's characterisation of the named individuals' roles and of involvement in holding hostages is not corroborated by any source independent of the IDF.
