Taiwan ministry says Lai observed joint missile drills; no PLA reaction collected
Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense announced that President Lai Ching-te observed joint precision missile drills during the period. No location, unit or weapon system was given. It was the only item in the AORs and binds to no other reporting.
KEY JUDGMENTWe assess the announcement is routine deterrence messaging rather than an indicator of imminent escalation; one official account with no location or system named cannot support a warning call, so theatre warning must rest on other collection.
